The candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of insulation materials and methods of application used in cryogenic, refractory and convential hot services. Experience in designing systems that can harness contraction / expansion or stresses imposed by cryogenics, depressurising or regeneration etc. and specifying the correct materials and ancillary products for the system are mandatory requirements. Knowledge of heat transfer and basic calculation methods would also be an asset. Self-motivation whilst working in the home office as well as on-site during construction when required is a basic pre-requisite of this job. He must be experienced in site application of all coatings, and must be cabable of on-site supervision and management of the application of hot and cold applied coatings, and heat applied sintered systems as applied in the Oil & Gas Industry. The candidate must also be familiar with techniques involved in linepipe coating using polypropylene, polyethylene, hot applied liquids, tape and fusion bonded products, and have a thorough knowledge of the associated field jointing techniques.
